WRC heading to Sweden for Round 6

Written by: Neil

It's been a while since we last updated you on the world of Rallycross and with this weekend set to see the discipline heading to Sweden, now seems a perfect time to put that right!

The sixth round of the FIA World Rallycross Championship (WRC) will be heading to Scandinavia on July 2nd and 3rd, with the championship as tight as ever and poised for another explosive round of racing.

Currently sitting second in the team standings and third in the drivers' championship, Sweden will see the return of three consecutive podium finishers (in the last three races) Timmy Hansen and Sebastien Loeb in their Peugeot 208 WRX.

Lying seventh and third in the championship standings overall, the pair hope to see another great weekend of high-octane racing that can propel them closer to the present top two of Mattias Ekstrom and Petter Solberg.

The only two drivers to have breached the 100-point barrier so far this season, Loeb is especially fired up to add his own name to this elite group come Saturday, and it promises to be an exciting event for all involved – racers and spectators alike.

We'll be sure to update you on the results next week! It's gonna be good!
