VW unveils Polo, Golf and Passat upgrades

Written by: Neil

Vehicle manufacturer Volkswagen (VW) has announced an upgraded line-up for 2016, with new versions of its Polo, Golf and Passat models coming to the market this year.

Now in its seventh generation, the iconic Golf has been a favourite among UK buyers for more than 30 years and is set to be even more popular following the launch of the latest Golf GT Edition and Golf R-Line Edition models.

Replacing the previous GT and R-Line variants, the 2016 Golf range will feature alloy wheels and panoramic sunroof as standard.

Meanwhile, the new Polo Match will replace the previous iteration Polo SE trim, with new five-door body styles and a broad range of engine and transmission options for buyers this year.

Finally, the manufacturer's new Passat Saloon and Estate variants have been launched to coincide with the new year and offer a revised business trim, as well as a range of SE-spec features – such as VW's proprietary Discover Navigation system, front fog lights, electric folding door mirrors and tinted rear windows.

Showrooms across the UK are now sporting each of the updated vehicles for 2016, with the models expected to prove popular among new car shoppers in the months ahead.
