Anyone thinking of buying a McLaren 570S Spider may be more tempted to take the plunge after a raft of new custom options were made available.
The ‘Design Editions’ offer different combinations of colour, trim and materials based around signature McLaren options, and all five have been carefully curated by McLaren Automotive designers so that the colours, materials and finishes complement perfectly.
Body paint colour options available include silica white, storm grey, vermillion red, onyx black or vega blue and each is matched to an interior scheme from the By McLaren Designer range – four of which are sporting-focused with the fifth boasting a more luxury accent.
Finally, wheel finish, brake caliper colour and branding and finish of the 570S Spider’s electrically retractable two-piece hard-top are all selected by McLaren designers to deliver the most visually balanced and pleasing result.
You can see the onyx black McLaren 570S Spider Design Edition 4 in the image at the top. The body-coloured retractable hardtop is complemented by the 10-spoke forged alloy wheels, which feature a stealth finish and orange brake calipers.
For what it’s worth, the interior comprises carbon black alcantara, orange nappa leather, orange perforated nappa leather seats with contrasting stitching, colour co-ordinated steering wheel and McLaren-branded leather sill finishers.
If all this sounds appealing, the cost of adding a Design Edition package dumps between £8,100 and £10,700 on top of the car’s RRP, which can be anything upwards of £164,750.
Stephen Hasley, brand manager at Petrol News, comments: “It’s no secret how incredible the 570S is and these tasteful custom packages make it even more appealing.”
