McLaren 570S Spider gets loved-up for Valentine’s Day

Written by: Neil

Love is always in the air on February 14th, but it’s also on the road this Valentine’s Day, thanks to McLaren.

The Woking-based supercar maker has used Valentine’s Day to show off one of its cars in a particularly loved-up guise – a 570S Spider finished in vibrant ‘vermillion’ red paint with matching interior.

With a mid-mounted 3.8-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine creating 562bhp, the 570S Spider can leg it up to 62mph in 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 204mph. Additionally, it can go from a standstill to 124mph in 9.4 seconds – now who wouldn’t love that kind of performance?

The romance continues inside, where apex red and jet black nappa leathers and carbon black alcantara trim material is complemented by carbon fibre components on the doors and centre tunnel.

Even the seatbelts and steering wheel are bright red, while outside, red brake calipers and personalised ‘color edition’ P Zero tyres from Pirelli complete the Valentine’s Day look.

The particular 570S Spider in the photo at the top may be spoken for, but you can create your own love story by speccing a McLaren at cars.mclaren.com.

With prices starting at close to £165k though, you’ll probably need to bag a lottery win or count on a hefty inheritance coming through to actually get the keys.

Stephen Hasley, brand manager at Petrol News, comments: “The McLaren 570S Spider is an easy car to love and sparks a lot of passion from petrolheads, so this ‘Valentine’s Day edition’ makes perfect sense.”
