F1 rivalries to return in China

Written by: Neil

You might be forgiven for thinking the passion and ferocity of recent seasons' racing has been somewhat amiss in the first two outings of the 2016 Formula 1 calendar, with Nico Rosberg having cruised to victory in Australia and Bahrain so far this year.

However, poor starts in both of the first two races of the season have seen Rosberg's Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton fall back from pole position – so the signs are all there that a fantastic battle for first could be just around the corner for these two feisty competitors.

Hamilton has claimed victory in the last two years and remains the reigning Formula 1 champion; but with consecutive wins in the last five races, Rosberg looks hungry to even the score and make 2016 a year when the German ace gets his first championship on the board.

We're hoping to seeing that passion back on show when the Formula 1 carnival makes its way to its next destination this weekend – China's Shanghai International Circuit, which consists of 5.45 km of fast straights and hard braking zones that will test the mettle of the finest drivers in the world.

With all still to play for in the championship and the teams and drivers getting to grips with this year's updated rules, it promises to be a fantastic spectacle for the pinnacle of motorsport, and we can't wait!

Let us know your predictions for China and for the coming season overall, we'd love to know your thoughts and see if they match up with our own!
