Here in the Petrol News office, we love a good hill climb and the intrepid souls at Shelsley Walsh have been out in force to satisfy our craving for spectacular racing once again at last weekend's event.
Scott Moran grasped the opportunity to take a stranglehold on this year's British Hill Climb Championship at the 'Best of British' event at Shelsley Walsh, with two wins that cemented his place at the top of the leaderboard.
The thrills and spills came thick and fast in a great weekend of uphill racing, as the 1,000 cc racers powered their way up the steep inclines in record time.
Crowds were treated to an amazing spectacle of both road-going and bespoke cars as they tackled the daunting hills of Shelsley Walsh, but it was the heroics of Moran that really captured the imagination of all those in attendance.
The next competition weekend in the British Hill Climb Championship is now scheduled to take place on June 2nd in the Reg Philips Trophy as part of the Vintage Sports Car Club meeting, also being held at the historic Shelsley Walsh venue.
It promises to be another entertaining event and one we can't wait to see. We'll keep you updated!
