The 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show has come to a close and the time has arrived to take stock of those new concepts that set the stages alight at this bi-annual automotive extravaganza.
From some of the most exciting new releases by the world’s top manufacturers to the designs that placed innovation and new ways of thinking at their core, there really was something to set all pulses racing at this year’s event.
Held at venues across the city, almost one million visitors took part in the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. Here are some of the top picks for standout new concepts at this year’s show:
Honda Project 2&4
A racing model along the lines of the lightweight Ariel Atom, the new Honda Project 2&4 was one of the biggest surprises of the show.
Featuring stunning good looks, but styled more like a go-kart than a conventional car, the model would not be out of place on race tracks around the world given its monocoque structure and cutback design.
Mercedes-Benz Concept IAA
Giving a hint into the future direction of Mercedes-Benz, the new Intelligent Aerodynamic Automobile (IAA) mixed a range of interesting aerodynamic design concepts with stunning good looks, exemplary efficiency and driver appeal.
Porsche Mission E
A vehicle designed to rival the Tesla as the world’s best performance electric car, the Porsche Mission E could be ready for production by 2020, with Frankfurt guests being given the first glimpse of this innovative concept before it prepares to go into full production.
Toyota C-HR Concept
The Toyota C-HR Concept is a compact crossover SUV that will come into production in 2016. However, it is set to undergo a number of design pullbacks from the bold model on display in Frankfurt, but there remains considerable buzz surrounding this new release.
