Luxury vehicle manufacturer Bentley has announced the marque will be returning to the Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) championship for the coming season in 2016.
Top American rookie Andrew Palmer and one of Asia's best veteran drivers Adderly Fong will each take to the track in a Bentley Continental GT3 when the new season kicks off at the Circuit of the Americas in March.
Comprising of a 20-round series of 50-minute-long, single-driver races on some of America’s most historic and iconic race tracks, including Laguna Seca and Road America, the PWC season will be a real test for the drivers and engineers behind the scenes.
It builds upon the manufacturer's recent successes at major international championships in Asia this year – a great foundation on which to build for the new Bentley Team Absolute.
Team director Ingo Matter commented: "Our experience in Asia with the Bentley Continental GT3s will give us a major boost.
"We're sure that the combination of Adderly's experience with the car and Andrew's experience in the Pirelli World Challenge will also add further layers of confidence to the programme."
With two cars already confirmed for entry into the coming season, Bentley is now considering the option of adding a third car to its team for the coming season, with a final decision on the new driver line-up expected in the coming weeks.
