Audi unveils second-generation TT

Written by: Neil

It may not be the fastest model on the planet, but it is one of the most popular, with the Audi TT a favourite among lovers of German automotive design.

Now, the Petrol News office has learned of the release of the new Audi TT 2.0 TDI quattro S tronic – the latest addition to the multiple award-winning TT range.

Offering all-wheel-drive tenacity (Audi's words, not ours) and a stylish new look (that one's ours), the new TT will appeal to drivers keen to enjoy the best in engineering excellence without breaking the bank in the process.

That's not to say the latest TT doesn't come with a hefty price tag – starting from £34,230 OTR – but for the amount of car that new owners are getting, it could be argued that this is a small price to pay.

Indeed, the model delivers an impressive top speed of 145 mph and can race from zero to 62 mph in just 6.7 seconds.

Couple this with the sleek and elegant styling of the new chassis and the TT is quite a car.

Stephen Hasley, brand manager at Petrol News, adds: "The new Audi TT 2.0 TDI quattro S tronic really is a beauty. It's fair to say that the model has definitely charmed us all at Petrol News."
