Here in the Petrol News office, we can think of plenty of reasons to get excited about the Ford GT.
First off, it looks amazing, boasting a distinctive design that feels both classic and modern.
Another reason for UK petrolheads to get interested in this stunning car is its appearance at the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it is among many Ford models worth checking out.
Fresh from representing Ford's winning team at the Le Mans 24-hour race on June 18th and 19th, the #66 Ford GT made its Goodwood Hillclimb debut with Dirk Muller – one of the drivers of the class-winning #68 car – and Marino Franchitti behind the wheel.
The team's 2016 win at Le Mans was a fitting way to mark the 50th anniversary of Ford's famous 1-2-3 victory at the endurance race in 1966.
Jim Farley, chairman and chief executive of Ford of Europe, said: "Last weekend the Ford GT made history again and won at the Le Mans 24 Hours race. It was an amazing statement about our passion for performance and innovation.
"This weekend, Goodwood will be the perfect venue for us to share our full Ford Performance line-up."
If the GT isn't enough to satisfy your appetite for stunning cars, Goodwood will also feature the Ford Mustang RTR (Ready to Rock), which was developed by world champion drifter Vaughan Gittin Jr.
This marvellous machine delivers 735PS from a supercharged V8 engine and boasts a number of unique modifications, including snowflake-style alloy wheels and an aggressive design with silver grille nostrils.
Ford will also be showing off the new F-150 Raptor, which will be driven up the Hillclimb course by former Top Gear Stig Ben Collins.
