If you want to get the job done properly, then take a look at Volkswagen’s latest new Crafter.
This updated model is already an industry winner scooping VansA2Z’s Van of the Year, Van Fleet World’s Best New Van and Best Large Van and International Van of the Year 2017.
Did we mention the size? Boasting a huge cargo space, the Crafter has been developed to offer the ultimate in flexibility for users and is available as a panel van, chassis cab or double cab, passenger-carrying window van. The Crafter’s base has a range of official conversions including tipper, drop side or Luton body.
So Much Choice
The Crafter has four power outputs available: 102, 122, 140 and 177 PS (122 PS follows in September 2017). These new EU6 engines are extremely reliable with a standard stop/start system. VW has specifically engineered them for the tough requirements of a commercial vehicle, with longevity and robustness being top priorities.
If you need any further persuasion, there is a whole host of safety features on a Crafter, including a driver’s airbag fitted as standard, full-height steel bulkhead, plus load-adjusting ESP (Electronic Stabilisation Programme), ABS, TCS (Traction Control System).
The Crafter has a choice of drive systems to suit your business needs including front, rear and all-wheel drive (4MOTION), as well as manual and automatic gearbox. These first-in-class electromechanical steering system allows a wide array of standard safety features including Automatic Post-Collision Braking System, Cross-Wind Assist and automatic hazard lights activation under emergency braking.
In creating the right professional image, the Crafter ticks all the boxes for comfort, efficiency, practicality and safety. However, at Petrol News, we really like the Crafter’s interior design and comfortable cab, which has the potential to double as a mobile office with a wide range of connectivity features, touchscreen infotainment system and standard Bluetooth.
